Today’s modern aircraft employ the latest complex, aircraft mechanics – while the technology is often lauded, what is often overlooked is the ‘silent hero’ of the aviation industry. That hero is ExxonMobil Jet Oil – the Aviation industry lubricant of choice for today’s modern aircraft and for the last five decades!
With nearly 5 million gallons of ExxonMobil’s world-renowned lubricant product produced at the ExxonMobil Aviation plant in Port Allen, LA, it’s no surprise that more than half of all aircraft in the world use one of Exxon’s Jet Oils.
Mobil Jet Oil II, Mobil Jet Oil 254 and Mobil Jet Oil 387 are the three products made in the ExxonMobil lubricants plant that opened in July 2016 in West Baton Rouge USA.
Mobil Jet™ Oil II was the first standard Type II oil on the market, launched more than 50 years ago, and it continues to be a market leader. This second-generation aviation jet oil helps keep turbine engines clean and operating optimally. Laboratory tests and engine inspections confirm Mobil Jet Oil II can handle extreme speeds, temperatures (up to 204 degrees Celsius/400 F) and stresses without breaking down and losing efficiency.
The recently launched, new technology Mobil Jet Oil 387 has been developed to meet the performance requirements of both current and future advanced gas turbine jet engines used in commercial and military service. A product that will ensure that ExxonMobil will continue to be at the forefront of the aviation lubricants industry, keeping many more planes safely airborne.
In the early stages of the manufacturing process, raw materials are procured from ExxonMobil’s integrated supply chain, with only the highest quality materials used to make Mobil Jet Oils, Lubricants and Greases. Once these products are packaged and labelled in Port Allen, the reliable Moove Aviation supply chain and distribution network ensure complete product integrity is maintained for all of our European customers – ExxonMobil Aviation Lubricants reach users in exactly the same condition as they leave ExxonMobil’s plant.
